Good Hang with Matt Damon and Christopher Nolan

prefacing this to say: i have a deep attachment to the odyssey. i read it at the end of 9th grade, shortly before going back to china for the first time since i immigrated to america. this epic about returning to a home fundamentally changed hit me hard & i revisit odyssey not infrequently when i'm hit with bouts of homesickness for a place that no longer exists.

i've been very ///: about nolan's adaptation for many, many reasons (and will write about). listening to damon and nolan explain their process—too briefly, would have loved to know more—didn't change my opinion, but it was nice to see the two handle the material with care. ultimately i think their interpretation of it is not something i necessarily care for, but i respect an artist's process for translation.
